The fact that it can sit upright really helped out with my child. He has had no problems climbing on to use it. It was easy as pie for him to figure out how to propel himself forward and backward. We did have some issues with the bike falling over once he moved forward. I think it will take some practice. Luckily the fall is a short one. I am hoping he will gain more confidence as he learns.
My son did have a bit of trouble with the turning of the bike because of the way it is designed but that didn't seem to matter to him, he loved it. PlasmaBike is designed to have limited turning motion. It helps the child not to topple over and it does prepare them for riding a real bike later on.
The bike is very solid, well made and I can tell it will last. This is light weight, less than 8 lbs and I love that! I can just toss it into the van and take to the playground. When it was time to take photos for this review (and video) my little 22 month guy was a bit afraid from falling off of the bike. He did not want to participate in the video so I asked my 6 year old to step in for the video. This bike fits a younger child much better although my older son had no problems riding it and he was well within the weight limit.
Check out my video to see this fun bike in action.
