For back-to-school snacks I rely heavily on quick and easy options that can be tossed into the kids backpacks. My pantry is usually stocked up with Mott's Healthy Harvest Applesauces. My personal favorite is the granny smith flavor, it is absolutely delicious!
I was really interested to try out Mott's (new to me) line of fruit flavored snacks called Mott's Medleys. It's really innovative to have real fruit and vegetable juices right in the snacks. Each pouch is 80 calories and they provide a days worth of vitamin C. One part I don't like so much is they are 12 grams of sugar, I wish that were lower because I don't like to give my children much sugar. I feel like these are a special treat that I reserve for only once a week for them. I'd rather they eat real fruit for their snacks. In my own opinion these should be enjoyed in moderation, just like all sugary foods.
My family did enjoy both flavors equally. The chewiness of the snacks was really nice. I felt like the moisture content was perfect. I enjoyed the flavors although I do wish they were slightly less sweet, it was a bit on the heavy side of sweet for me. The boxes are easy to store in my cabinet and having 2 boxtops for education per box is really nice! I am always saving them for my children's school so getting double on one package is a nice little bonus.
