We threw a little party and invited over a few of my daughter's friends so that they could meet the Hearts for Hearts Girls dolls. My daughter and I were already familiar with these dolls because my daughter already owns Tipi from Laos.
The two dolls we had to share were:
NEW 2012 Zelia- she is from Brazil and she has deep brown eyes and hair. Zelia comes dressed in a satiny yellow jacket with ribbed trim, real denim shorts, and a deep azure tee-shirt with rainforest butterfly design.
Lilian- this pretty girl is from Belarus. Lilian comes dressed in a full-sleeved white tunic blouse with authentic Belarussian embroidery details on the collar and sleeves, topped with a lace-up vest with embroidered pink and periwinkle flowers. Dotted scarlet leggings complete this culturally inspired outfit.
Additional outfits are available for these dolls on the website and there are many to choose from. There are dolls from several corners of the globe with more to come in the future. Each doll is so well made, we love the high quality. The other great thing is that these dolls are very affordable, starting at $29.99.Through a partnership with World Vision, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of each Hearts For Hearts Girls doll is donated to programs that support girls in that doll’s country. Whether it’s malaria nets in Africa, schoolbooks in Asia, or food supplies in the United States, these programs help girls to thrive and succeed. The girls had fun snacking and playing games at our party. One lucky little girl went home with her own Hearts for Hearts Girls doll. All the other little girls got a bracelet and a coupon to buy their own doll plus my daughter handed the extras out to our neighbor girls.
