Mama Nibbles: Disney Princess Party Shopping and Royal Ball App #DisneyPrincessWMT

Disney Princess Party Shopping and Royal Ball App #DisneyPrincessWMT

The new Disney Cinderella: Diamond Edition Bluray/DVD Combo Pack and Disney HD Digital was released on October 2nd.  You can watch a bunch of previews on the Disney movie website.  I watched them several times over tonight by myself, especially the song clips.
My daughter owned her first Disney DVD when she was almost three years old and since then she has been a big Disney fan.  I remember seeing my first Disney movie in theaters when I was a little girl.  That memory is a very happy one that I will never forget.  Disney movies have a magic all their own that sticks with you after you have watched them.  We were both really excited about this combo pack so we decided to throw a princess party for Halloween in honor of Cinderella!

I set to work right away creating our invitations.  I used cottonballs for the clouds around the castle along with some old scrapbook papers and blank cards.  The inside is even better, it features a cartoon of my daughter dressed as a princess and all the details to our event.
My daughter hand delivered the invites to her girl friends and we asked them all to come dressed as princesses.  We will be enjoying some delicious snacks, watching some stuff of of our BluRay and doing a craft together.  I went online right away to the Walmart brand page to see what costumes my store carries.  We wanted to be sure we would find what we were looking for and to see prices.  After we had that done I downloaded the Disney Princess Augmented Reality 2.0 App to my Android phone.

The app was easy to find and downloaded pretty fast.  My daughter and I played around with it for a while together.  You can unlock different interactive games as you go along.  The first option is to create a princess outfit.  Pick out the dress, jewelry, shoes and tiara that you want and take a picture of your princess with your mobile device.  There is even a game where you are required to dance!

We headed to Walmart to pick up the supplies we would need for our princess party.  The Disney princess section was well stocked and we found a Cinderella dress in my daughter's size.  There were matching shoes and a tiara to complete the outfit.  The pink mirror is adorable!
I loaded up the cart with some great finds but my store did seem to be lacking some of the elements I was hoping to incorporate into our party.  I didn't find very many Disney princess party supplies at my local Walmart so I had to stop somewhere else after I finished up there.  We had way too much fun shopping for everything we needed!  I found some fun items for our favor bags that the girls are going to love.  Read my Google + story about our entire shopping trip.  We cannot wait to throw our princess party in a week.  I will be sharing photos and how it went here so be sure and check back after the 29th.
