Mama Nibbles: eMeals Lunch Plan Saved This Frazzled Mom!

eMeals Lunch Plan Saved This Frazzled Mom!

eMeals recently rolled out an all new, easy to use lunch plan.  I wrote a review for eMeals Aldi's family dinner plan a while back and loved it because every meal was delicious and affordable.  I didn't know how convenient a lunch plan would be until we actually tried it.  I am very happy to say that it has made my shopping and preparing of lunches a snap!
Using the plan is so simple.  I just log into my account, go to my active subscriptions and click to print.  Emeals always gives the option to print the current week's plan or the past week's plan.  I bought a binder and clear page protectors to store my lists and recipes inside because sometimes I tend to get a bit messy in the kitchen.  I've not seen many meal repeats since every week is an entirely new menu.  The lunch menu was fresh, healthy and nutritionally balanced.  The plan includes 5 days worth of lunches and each day has an easy dessert option that will pack well.
I made a few of the meals at home over the weekend and all three kids didn't have much to say.  They were too busy eating to make any comments LOL.  My 8 year old daughter did manage to say that the meals have been "awesome!".  I've been adding my own special touches with the plan  to make their lunches fun and creative.  The first lunch I will highlight was a Turkey Pinwheel lunch.  I added some brightly colored plastic (kid safe) skewers to the pinwheels.  Just that little addition made them smile and want to eat what I'd set before them.  Normally they would complain about the salsa being too chunky but no, they just gobbled their lunch right up with no complaints!  The flavor combinations were delicious.  I actually used a smoked apple cheddar on mine.  We loved the added smoky flavor.
The next simple lunch was supposed to be a bagel with peanut butter, bananas, and dried raisins  (I used cranberries).  I decided to use english muffins instead because they were what I had on hand at the time.  I don't know if I would want to put peanut butter on a bagel, it sounds odd to me.  We had celery and baby carrots on the side plus a dab of ranch dressing.  The children had a blast assembling their own lunch together.  We all decided to try and make our food look like flowers.  Again this lunch was eaten with no complaints and I was one happy mom!  I know this is a simple meal idea but sometimes with all the stuff I have to think about, meals ideas are hard to grasp.  Thanks eMeals!
The quick and healthy lunch plan can be shopped at any grocery store and can be added to any eMeals dinner meal plan.  You can view a sample lunch plan to print out and try for FREE!  Use code FAMILY to save 15% off!
