Go Blue! Our entire family loves watching Wolverine football. I myself am a big fan and have been for years. There is nothing like hanging out with the husband, having a cold one and enjoying the game snuggled together.
Once in a while it's nice to feel appreciated and my husband can always tell when I need some extra loving. He likes to buy me flowers and wow do I love the sweet gesture. I really enjoy breathing in the sweet smell of fresh roses and seeing the brilliant colors that God created. Flowers make me feel loved every time I glance over at them.
I had no idea that FTD carried such a unique assortment of roses! Did you know that they have college themed bouquet arrangements? They are so cool and not the norm at all. A bouquet of your special gal or guy's fave team would make a stunning gift for any occasion would they not? I just love my bouquet that FTD sent me from their college rose collection.
I opened the door to a knock one day from my delivery man. He held out a huge long box in Michigan Wolverine colors. I felt all special and slightly giddy as I cradled that box. I had to grab a pair of scissors to cut the piece of tape that held the opening so tightly together. I opened my beautiful maize and blue box and literally gasped at the beauty inside!
First off you will want to keep a good pair of scissors, sharp knife or rose trimmers around. It was a bit tricky getting the zip-tie cut that held the roses and vase in place. The stems require trimming. It helps to have the stems under running water when clipping if you can. I also used an old wooden spoon to stir the water and included plant food together. The vase is gorgeous, very nice quality. I love the big Michigan 'M' etched onto my blue glass vase.
I made sure to cut the bouquet level and then stood that near the vase. I cut half of my stems 1/2" shorter than the other half. This helps give the bouquet that rounded look. Just place the shorter stems towards the outer edges and tall in the center. Each day my roses bloomed bigger and better than the day before. I enjoyed these for well over two weeks! I trimmed the stems a second time on day 8 and refreshed the water. The Michigan colored rose blooms just kept getting bigger and better. I am still left wondering how they made the roses half and half blue and maize. I guess I do not really want to know, it makes them even more special that way!
