Sometimes my finger and wrists get so sore from using the pad on my laptop to navigate.  We also have a little notebook and that one is even more difficult to use due to the pad size.  My daughter has been using our laptop for school stuff as of late and she has trouble too.  I've always wanted to try out some type of wireless mouse.  I wanted to see if it would make it a little easier to surf the web and do things on the computer.

I have been trying out the Targus Blue Trace Wireless Mouse.  This is a great wireless mouse for any Mac, PC or Netbook user.  It is the standard size for a mouse: 4.25” x 2.25” x 1.33”.  First of all let's talk battery life.  The mouse comes with 2 batteries and the package says they will last for 12 months.  I have only been using the mouse for a few weeks so I asked around to see if this was true.  The answer was yes.  Batteries inside of a wireless mouse can indeed last for up to a year!  I'm glad to hear it because batteries are expensive, even the rechargeable kind.  The top of the mouse snaps off to reveal the battery compartment.

The first thing I noticed about this mouse is that it fits very nicely in my palm.  I do not have particularly small hands but they are not huge either, probably 5" across the palm.  I liked how the rounded design could be easily cradled.  It felt very comfortable to hold and use for me.

One clever thing about this mouse is that the little usb adapter can magnetically snap to the bottom.  So you can toss this into your bag and take with you or store easily in a drawer without the worry of losing that little thing.  I know I am always losing small parts so I love this feature.  The mouse is light weight at around 8 oz.  The micro adapter is so small that I can just leave it plugged into my laptop and it's not even noticed.

The optical sensor makes this mouse very versatile!  I can use it on my wood table, our leather couch, my leg, the wall, carpet, a dog (LOL I don't have a dog but if I did I bet this would work) I mean it will literally work almost anywhere.  The RF 2.4GHZ technology means that you can use this from up to 30 feet away!  We frequently watch movies on our tv via the laptop.  The only thing is, the laptop has to be close to the tv because of the cord we are using.  I like being able to relax on the couch while being able to control everything with my mouse.

The mouse is super responsive and accurate.  I never noticed any lagging.  The software was easy to install and all-in-all I am very happy with this device.
