I have the perfect treat for you that can replace a lot of those unhealthy snacks. Just take a ripe banana, split it in half and sit it in a big bowl. Now take 4-5 rounded teaspoon sized scoops of your favorite pint of Whole Fruit sorbet. Line those scoops up right down the split in the banana. Add a couple squirts of a fat free or low fat whip cream. Then sprinkle with a healthy dose of your favorite granola (my little sister made me homemade macadamia and coconut granola). Now you have a healthier treat that is delicious as it is beautiful.
I recently enjoyed the bowl in the photo and shared it with my husband. I think he was pretty shocked at how delicious it was. The Whole Fruit sorbets are fresh tasting, not too sweet and all are in the 120-160 calorie range per 1/2 cup serving. There are several delicious flavors to choose from: raspberry, strawberry, mango, lemon, peach, black cherry, coconut, blueberry acai and valencia orange. They all contain chunks of real fruit. We love them! If you want to go out and grab some there is even a coupon that I found to print here. All of the sorbet flavors with the exception of the coconut are gluten, dairy and fat free. I found out that they are even kosher too.
