Italian Turkey and White Bean Stew Recipe

Tonight's dinner was turkey and white bean "stew" with Piave Vecchio cheese (aged 180 days) lightly grated over the top. To drink the husband and I had a couple of chilled Guinness Black Lager which pairs perfectly.  My whole family really enjoyed this one and so I thought I'd share the recipe.

This stew is simple just squeeze sausage out of the casings. Brown sausage then add the onion and garlic in until those are translucent. Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer 15-20 minutes covered until those carrots are tender.  Serve with your favorite bread to help sop up the goodness!  The house will smell amazing.

1 pack of Jennie O Sweet Italian turkey sausage, 5 links
1 Tbsp minced garlic
1 medium onion chopped
1 teaspoon dried thyme
½ teaspoon pepper
16 oz jar chopped stewed tomatoes
1 Tbsp dried basil
3 whole carrots, peeled & chopped
24 oz jar Randall's great northern white beans, drained
32 oz container low sodium/low fat chicken broth
