I've been thoroughly enjoying my new Chefman Cordless Electric Kettle since I got it several weeks ago.  I am a big fan of Alton Brown on the Food Network and he is always using his kettle when cooking or baking.  I just had to have one to try out for myself!

Since I opened the beautiful box I have not stopped using it.  It's very well made, solid construction and the brushed stainless-steel housing is beautiful.  The handle is so comfortable in the hand, it stays cool and the hot water flows out through the perforated stainless spout perfectly.  It's easy to keep clean with just a swish of soapy water then I let it air dry.  The 6.4 cups (1.5 L) capacity makes more than enough hot water to fill my extra large french press!  The convenient measuring lines inside of the kettle are a nice feature to have, no more eyeballing it or trying to get out my measuring cups.

The red/orange indicator light lets you know when it is working.  When the water has come to a boil the kettle shuts off automatically!  This kettle uses 1000 Watts of power and boils faster than my microwave or stove top.  Another plus is that the water stays hot for quite a long time in the kettle.  I can walk away and leave it to boil while I tuck the kids in for bed or whatever!  I just love that feature, it's so convenient.

The Chefman kettle rests on a round base that it is around 6 inches across I'd estimate.  The kettle easily lifts off and on a sturdy 360 base to make it cordless for filling or pouring.  It's top securely snaps on and stays put.  If you don't like cords flopping all about on the counter then this little kettle's base lets you wind that baby right on up!  I can store my kettle on a shelf so much more easily with the cord hidden away.

Overall the kettle performs very well and heats water very efficiently (1 cup per minute approx.).  It's so quiet, much quieter than a traditional kettle.  The only con was that the outside of the kettle did get quite hot and I had to be very careful not to touch the stainless steel portion.  I definitely recommend this particular kettle, it's a great buy.

High end packaging + quality electrics + awesome pricing = CHEFMAN.  A 3 year limited warranty comes with every Chefman kettle.
