It's getting to be pretty hot here in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It finally feels like summer. During the summer I keep a full shelf in my fridge dedicated simply to beverages. I stock up on a variety of lemonade, iced tea, water, Snapple, sweet tea, half and half tea, and soda. Whether we are heading out to the beach, a baseball game, the park or market I like to have drinks cold and ready to grab on the way out the door.
The other day I needed to get a few groceries and replenish the beverage shelf. I strapped my toddler into his seat and took off for my nearest Walmart Supercenter to shop. I grabbed a few items to make cupcakes, some milk, and four gallon jugs of some SnapTea. You can see my whole shopping trip here.
The tea looked so refreshing, definitely a good healthy beverage option for our on-the-go family. I scored a really sweet deal because I'd printed off some coupons for $1 off 1 gallon of SnapTea from Walmart.com. You can find that coupon here. I also recommend watching that page to enter Snapple's photo contest which should be opening soon. Coupons will only be available until 9/30/13 in areas where SnapTea is being sold.
We had been planning to go to the beach before my husband got called away to a 3 week long business trip. The kids were pretty down about their dad being gone. I needed to cheer them up. I remembered that I'd put a SnapTea into the fridge the night before and so I planned a last minute picnic supper. I picked up the phone and ordered a pizza then grabbed one ice cold SnapTea gallon from the fridge. I told the kids to grab our picnic blanket and get in the mini van. On the way out I grabbed a handful of plastic cups and straws. Once I'd picked up the pizza we drove to the playground for our impromptu picnic. The kids were so excited!
As the kids munched on their picnic supper and gulped down their cold tea I thought about how thankful I was for them. Life is so beautiful when I am with my children. I'm so glad we got to hang out, laugh and sip our tea together.
I liked the handle on the top of the jug that makes it easy to pour, thanks to Snapple for that genius tool! We absolutely loved the Diet Green tea flavor of SnapTea. It is lightly sweet and fresh tasting. A perfect green tea flavor for sure and a must have on my list of summer drinks. Diet was the only option available in my area but it was delicious. I've been on a weight-loss quest this year and so far am at 52 lbs lost. I can appreciate that the diet version has zero calories and no sugar. I really want to try the other flavors soon though!

|Cheers to Snaptea!|
Once our little picnic was done we raced over to the playground equipment to let out some energy. We played and played for about an hour before we all decided it was time to rehydrate our bodies. We still had plenty of SnapTea and it had stayed quite cold in the van. I filled our cups up and the kids drank theirs up and then went back to play some more. They sure were happy little campers. Snapple SnapTea gallons are so quick and easy, we just love it!
