It's so crazy that we went without Olive Garden for almost ten years!  Ever since our first trip back I have had their delicious food on my mind.  I love what Olive Garden has been doing with their menu and the specials they put out save us lots of money when we want to go out for a family dinner!

Just last week we spent 4 days and 3 nights in Acme, MI.  Our family stayed at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa.  Just around 20 minutes away inside Traverse City, MI we found an Olive Garden.  We had heard about the 'Never Ending Pasta Bowl' deal and wanted to try it out for ourselves.

The 'Never Ending Pasta Bowl' is back for its 18th year and the deal runs from August 5th until September 29th (my 32nd bday!!!).  I think I know someone who might like to go there for her birthday tee-hee!  So the deal is, you get to chose from a menu of seven pastas and six sauces.  The combinations are endless!  Along with all of that yummy and oh so comforting pasta you will get unlimited breadsticks and salad or soup.  I had the Chicken & Gnocchi soup and it was so rich, savory, and fit for a queen.  ALL of that is only $9.99 per person, WOW!  My husband took full advantage of that deal, he has hollow legs I swear.

Olive Garden has two new sauces- the Asiago Garlic Alfredo which I had and loved for its complexity of flavor, and the new Sausage Pomodoro.  Their new Cavatappi Corkscrew caught my kids' attention and my kids were caught sneaking some off of their daddy's plate.  For only $2.99 you can add an additional unlimited protein which includes their new Chicken Fritta, Meatballs, or Italian Sausage.  My husband added sausage to his dish.  He said it was a savory but sweet flavored sausage that he really enjoyed with the new Sausage Pomodoro sauce which had a mellow spice to it.  We walked out of there feeling so satisfied!

We will most definitely be going back a couple times more for a nice family dinner out.  I especially hope I can make it in for my birthday!  Oh and I wanted to be sure and mention that it is a very good idea to sign up for the Olive Garden newsletter.  They will send you emails about deals and I do believe you might get a special coupon just for signing up!
