My family and I have been on vacation for a good part of the week. We went up into northern Michigan to stay at a resort and spa. We spent a lot of time eating, swimming, and just relaxing. I have a boatload of laundry to finish now that we are home and I know a lot of stains are hiding in there. My kids play hard and eat messy!
Tonight I decided we should have a movie night while the laundry churned in the washer. I quickly went through and sorted out a load but found one shirt that had a great big stain. This particular shirt had a huge tomato sauce stain in the center from some pizza my 7 year old son had enjoyed.
I remembered that I had a whole brand new tub of OxiClean that was sent to me for review. I pulled it out and read the back. All I needed to do was soak the top in a simple solution of water and OxiClean to lift the stain. I filled my sink with a gallon of warm water and put in a scoop filled up to the #2 then popped the tee right in to soak for an hour. OxiClean is pretty much odorless which is nice because strong smells irritate me.
I watched a movie with the kids while the top soaked. When I took the tshirt out of the OxiClean and water I could tell that the stain was almost already gone! I popped the shirt into a load in the washing machine with another small scoop of OxiClean. When I pulled the shirt out the stains were nowhere to be seen! I like that OxiClean is chlorine free so it won't harm delicate fabrics. I even noticed that the clothing that went in the same load as this shirt looked a bit less grimy. The OxiClean brightened our clothing up again.
After a twirl in the dryer our tshirt looked brand new, like the day it came home from the store. Bye-bye and adios stains! With the new school year upon us I don't have to worry so much about the kiddos clothes. I will easily be able to remove stains that they happen to get a bad stain during school snack, lunch, recess, or sports. I can keep their clothes looking like new until they grow out of them.
Little League starts this fall for my middle son and then I do believe we might do soccer for him and my daughter too. I already know there will be tons of stains all over their uniforms but no worries for this mom because I have my OxiClean stain remover!
