Tori Spelling has been such an inspiration to so many people including me. She is a mom, a wife, tv personality, and crafting queen! I love her jewelry line and all the fun things that she shares on her website ToriSpelling.com. Starburst Candy Corn has recently partnered with Tori so that she could share her Halloween decorating tips with us all.
One of my best Halloween tips is to take it easy. Don't get all worked up and spend tons of money. There are any simple and budget friendly ways to make this time of the year fun and special. It's easy to look around on the web where you will discover helpful recipes and tips for DIY costumes. A quick cookie recipe (like mine), some spooky music, a few fake spider webs, a vegetable tray, and a pitcher of cider can make for a really fun little party.
On Starburst Candy Corn's Facebook page you can find more of Tori's recipes, including Picture Perfect Place Cards, a Creative Candy Corn Cobweb and even a Sweet Statement Necklace. You will want to act fast because Starburst Candy Corn is only available for a limited time, now through Halloween.
Tori has a delicious recipe for Starburst Candy Corn Cupcakes that looked so pretty I had to try but decided to take my own spin off of it. I didn't have any cake mix now did I feel the urge to make it from scratch, however I did have a tube of premade sugar cookie dough in my fridge. I also had a tube of white icing in the pantry, some white lollipop sticks in my cake decorating kit, and of course I was sent a few bags of the Starburst Candy Corn. Some beautiful sunburst flower cookies on a stick were born and they are quite tasty! The new candy corn are so sweet and fruity, just like a juicy Starburst. These cookies are so fast and easy.
You will need:
-1 tube sugar cookie dough
-enough white lollipop sticks to make how ever many cookies you wish
-parchment paper to line cookie sheet
-tube of white icing
-bag of Starburst Candy Corn
1. I cut my cookie dough into 1/2 inch slices and laid them on my parchment paper lined cookie sheet. Be sure to leave a few inches of space in between each cookie. It does help to stick the dough in the freezer for about 10-15 minutes prior to cutting.
3. Bake according to the package instructions. Mine baked for 13 minutes at 350. I took them out when they were very lightly golden then let them cool on the pan all the way. They should easily pop right off of the pan once cooled.
5. Now you can take those delicious Starburst Candy Corn and place them in a sunburst pattern around your cookie. You can do a little or a lot, any way you decide will look good. I decided to go full out and fill my cookie. It's so colorful and remind me of my autumn mums.
