The other day I received a beautiful package from Alexa’s Angels. I opened my package up right away because I love jewelry. The packaging inside was so beautiful that I had to share it with my readers in the photos above. The bright pink tissue paper and shredded paper that surrounded the white gift box wrapped in pink ribbon was beautiful! I love the special touch with the ribbon being shaped into a loop for breast cancer awareness. If you do not know it, October is breast cancer awareness month. I decided to paint my fingernails to help me remember why this month is so important and they matched perfectly with my new bracelet.
I have a personal connection with the topic of breast cancer. My grandmother passed away from cancer that had begun in her breasts. That cancer spread to her bones which ended her life very painfully. She was someone that I looked up to during my childhood. Her inspiring example and fire for life sticks with me as I continue on in my own life’s journey. I also have an even deeper connection to cancer in general. My little sister passed away from it when she was a teen. She had an incurable type of cancer in her brain. I pray daily that someone solves the puzzle that is cancer. We need a cure! I so admire and applaud those who keep on fighting to find that. I know that one day it will happen.
The bracelet that was contained in the beautiful package I received is something I would wear every day. It was the ($10 ARV) pink “Zoey” – Keep an Angel in Your Corner. The pink and white floral clay polymer beads are unique and very brightly colored. This bracelet definitely stands out and I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on it when I have worn it. The silver colored charm reads “fight like a girl”. This is a slightly stretchy bracelet that is easy to pull over your hand. I myself have fairly large dutch hands and I had no problems sliding it on. This piece of jewelry would be a wonderful gift for anyone this holiday season. It could be given to a breast cancer survivor or someone who is currently fighting it. You could buy several bracelets and have a group of friends or family in support of someone who is currently fighting breast cancer. There are just so many possibilities!
