What make me feel luminous? A new bra, some good mascara, a new outfit, a good workout at the gym, a pair of heels that looks hot but does not pinch my toes, a new hair style, a trip to the spa for a massage and the list could go on and on.
Quite recently my husband and I enjoyed a romantic getaway to a luxury hotel for 4 nights. We sent most of the time just relaxing in our room. There was a huge whirlpool tub, a gorgeous view, our own kitchen to cook great food in and my loving husband who gave me many foot rubs. I left there feeling luminous and recharged.
This week I’ve been trying out POND’S Luminous product line. This was a line that I was really interested to try out. My skin has been so dull and dry from the long Michigan winter, it needed some life brought back into it.
POND’S Luminous Line keeps skin looking bright and luminous all day. The line includes a Wet Cleansing Towelette, moisturizer and collection of cleansers that brighten dull skin. The Towelettes are enriched with moisturizing ingredients and soft white Kaolin clay known to act like a magnet, to gently draw out dirt, makeup and deep-dwelling impurities leaving skin bright and luminous.
The first POND’S product that I used was the Luminous Clean Cream Cleanser. This cream is very moisturizing and it bubbles up quite nicely. The smell is very strong. After rinsing my face off I could still smell it. My pores did feel tighter and my skin ended up to be fairly clean. I still had some gel liner on my eyes but that stuff is hard for anything to clean off.
The second item I tried was the POND’S Luminous Clean Daily Exfoliating Cleanser. I liked how this was very gentle to my skin. The texture was not much unlike the Cream Cleanser. My face felt moisturized and fresh with all of the dead skin sloughed off. Again the fragrance bothered me, it is a very strong perfumed scent.
Thirdly I wiped my face with the POND’S Luminous Clean Wet Cleansing Towelettes. I really LOVE these! They do not have such a super strong perfume scent like the cleansers. The wipe picked up all of my gel eye liner and some other dirt from around my nose. I liked the texture of the wipe and how soft it felt going over my face and neck. After using it my pores looked tighter and my face did not feel dry in the least! My skin really did look noticeably brighter and more luminous after using these. I am definitely going to be buying more of these.
The last product that I used was the POND’S Luminous Moisture. I could not tolerate the heavy perfume fragrance on my face and so I used it on my hands. The lotion is very creamy, non greasy and light. The top of my hand was very luminous and it made me wish I could have used this on my face BUT that strong smell is just too much. It is overly floral and I can even smell it through the bottle before opening it. Even on my hands the scent bothered me.
